Wire Transfers

[+] What is a wire transfer?
A wire transfer is a method transferring funds or payment electronically by wire.

[+] How do I send a wire transfer?
To send a wire transfer, either a domestic or international, you will need to step into one of our 12 branches to complete the necessary paperwork. Our staff be able to assist you in doing this quickly and easily. We cannot process a wire transfer over the phone, mail or fax without first having written authorization in the form of a Wire Transfer Agreement. This agreement is available at all of our 12 branches and needs to be completed before initiating a wire where you are unable to come into a branch.

[+] How long does a wire take to process?
Wires can take up to 48 hours to fully process.

[+] If I am sending money internationally, do I need to do anything differently?
International wires require a ‘SWIFT’ code instead of a routing number. The SWIFT code consists of 8 to 11 of both numeric and alphabetic characters.

[+] Can someone wire funds to my account at HHFCU?
Yes, someone with your account information can wire funds directly to your HH account. You will need to provide them with your account number and HHFCU’s routing number. Since we are a credit union, the wire must first be sent to Corporate America Federal Credit Union with instructions to further credit the account here at HHFCU.
