What is a Credit Union?
A Credit Union is a financial institution where their members are not just account numbers. We also do not have to pay shareholders, which results in higher interest rates for savings accounts and lower interest rates on loans.
How are they different from a bank?
Banks have to pay dividends to their shareholders, credit unions do not. We put our money back into the community. We exist solely to empower and support the financial growth of our people and our communities. Money is put in the form of lower rates, member dividends, jobs, community support, financial literacy and philanthropy.
Am I eligible for an account?
Anyone who lives, works, worships or goes to school in Orange, Ulster, or Dutchess counties can bank with us. You can open an account with us for as little as $5, and receive the benefits of growing your wealth and your financial well-being. Member accounts are fully insured up to $250,000 by the NCUA.
Where do I sign up?
Do you offer Savings Bonds?
No, we do not offer Savings Bonds. If you would like to purchase a Savings Bond, you would need to do so online through the US Treasury’s website.
Can I deposit Savings Bonds into my account at HHFCU?
No, we do not accept Savings Bonds for deposit. If you would like to purchase a Savings Bond, you would need to do so online through the US Treasury’s website. Please visit our page

We offer Safe Deposit Boxes at our branch on 25 Rykowski Lane in Middletown. There are 5 different sizes available. Please contact us for more information.

I would like to set up a wire transfer. What is the routing number that I need?
Members must provide the sending party with Corporate America Credit Union’s routing number and HHFCU’s routing number. Ex. Send to Corporate America CU (26209012) with final credit to HHFCU (221978791)

What are your current certificate rates?
Why am I getting a Regulation D – Savings transfer limit error when I try to do a transfer online?
There is Federal Regulation that limits the number of transfer that you can do from a savings account electronically each month. The limit is set to 6 transfers. You can still make transfers from the savings but these must be done in person or at an ATM.

Do you offer notary services and is there a fee?
Most branches have a notary public and is available for members at no charge. Please call us ahead of time to confirm a notary will be available in the branch you wish to visit
How can I change my debit card PIN?
If you currently know what your PIN is, you can change it at any of our ATM’s. If you do not know your PIN, you must stop in at a local branch with photo id to select a new 4 digit PIN. We do not keep these of file for security purposes.
What do I need to do to open an account?
To open an account you must bring in the following
a. A minimum of $5 to open up a savings account
b. Current (non-expired) government issued photo ID
c. Address Verification (if a driver’s license if given and has invalid current address or only lists a PO Box). Original documentation of the following is acceptable
i. Utility bill
ii. Current paystub
iii. Valid vehicle insurance card
iv. Valid vehicle registration card
Why is my ATM deposit not available to me?
All ATM deposits are deposited with a 2 business day hold as stated on all ATM locations.
How do I report my Visa® card lost or stolen?
The quickest and most secure way to report your card lost or stolen is through our online banking service, iCliq, or our mobile app, iCliqToGo. To report your card lost or stolen in iCliq, go into the “Settings” tab in your iCliq account. Then, click the “Debit/Credit card” tab, in this section you should see a list of all of your Visa Debit or Credit cards. Simply click “block” on the card in question.To report your card lost or stolen in iCliqToGo, log in and go to the main menu. Then tap “Manage Cards” a list will show all of your Visa Debit/Credit cards, tap on the one you would like to report lost or stolen, then tap, “Report Lost or Stolen”.
